My new book

My new book has a bit of nature and action.  This painting is one of the eleven illustrations I painted for my adventure book. All my art work has a copy right along with my book. This actually happened in my woods. The chase was quit a sight! The new book is almost ready. I'll let you know on the progress and the title! My blog has been quiet for awhile during my painting time.

Doubletree Gallery Book Signing

Great fun at Doubletree Gallery, 1608 South Dakota Highway 10, Sisseton, SD 57262. The book signing for "A Crown for A Princess" was held in July of last year. This gallery has framing, gifts & collectibles. If you are in north eastern SD, I recommend a stop at this store!

"Best Friends"

Spring is in the air. Soon my best friend will arrive for the summer. This inspired me to write "A Crown for a Princess". The memories will last forever, the fun playing at the lake!

Soon the ice will melt and the beauty of summer will appear! Wildlife has the natural instinct to hatch their young and enjoy the gift of summer their creator has provided for them. I can't wait till they arrive! It's been a long winter.

South Dakota Sunset

This sunset is kissed by a pallet of watercolor. Our Creator knows what will give us joy. The sunset happened the 4th of July, 2013,at Sisseton, South Dakota. Soon the sky will light up in a different way with fireworks celebrating our Nations freedom!

Cruise

Our first Mother and Daughter cruise! Forty ladies set sail and anchored at Grand Turk. This is the view of our ship. In a few hours we will set sail again!

Gentle waves

The beautiful colors in the ocean and the gentle splashing of the waves remind me when I'll swim again!

The sunset sail continues. The evening was perfect to glide over the waves. The master artist loves to give joy to us. I could inhale His presence while the breezes blew, as I enjoyed the beauty He created! Thank you, thank you is all I could say!

Dreams of Hawaii. The sun set sail is the perfect way to end the day! The wind was warm as it blew our hair.  The skill of the captain gave us the ride of our dreams. I can't wait till we return. The plane ride to the islands was amazing. I was inspired to finish my book "A Crown for a Princess". I also began my second book. It is now in publishing!

 Soon the colors of spring will shout the joy that awaits us! We can make memories with our children having fun outside. The girls are safe playing on this low growing tree. Posing is what they love to do!

The road to our house inspires paintings to flow to illustrate my latest book "A Crown for a Princess".

Early dawn in November

This is early dawn in November 2013. The lake has just frozen. Soon we will have snow for the winter. The fish eye lens gives the photo a different effect. Images of ice skating flash in my mind, bringing sweet memories of my childhood.

Late summer on Gull Lake, in Minnesota, is beautiful! As the sun sets, the waves are splashing on the grass that lines the shore. The cool breezes feel refreshing after the heat of the day. Can't you imagine yourself in a boat as it gently rocks back and forth giving you a  relaxing ride?
